How tuition works

What sets tuition, what each part is for and how to leave. The figures for each plan are on our enrollment page and at your first class.

  • What sets tuition

Tuition depends on who is training and how often: an adult, a child or teen, or a family on one plan, and how many classes a week.

    • Adults, kids and teens, or the Family plan

    • Classes a week

  • Registration

A one-time joining fee sets up your file and covers your first belt. It is due when you sign the agreement, after your first class. The uniform is listed under other costs.

  • Holding a place

A full class keeps a waitlist. When a place opens, we call or text the first family on it. A place is yours while you attend; tell us before a long break.

  • Billing

Monthly, by automatic payment through our members' portal. We send a reminder before each payment.

  • Siblings

A second family member is handled on the Family plan, under one agreement and one monthly bill. Ask us how it works for your household.

  • Withdrawing

Adults start with six months, then go month to month, and children's plans are month to month. To end a plan, tell us in writing with 30 days' notice; the month in progress is billed. For travel, illness or injury, ask us about pausing first.

  • Missed classes and make-ups

Missed a class? Come to another class at your level the same month. Parent-and-child pairs can swap into any other parent-and-child class that has room.

  • Uniforms and other costs

A uniform when you join, a fee when you are ready for a belt test, and an occasional seminar or event, which is always optional. Each is priced on the enrollment page.
